I had to hold myself back from posting up the short video this shot came from. I've gone and fallen in love with a much younger man. ;)

My new lens (£716) arrived today, in time for the deer rut. Its a Sigma zoom 150mm - 500mm lens and weighs a ton.it's one I've used in the past so I know, if used correctly, the image quality should be spot on. :D

Nah, just sold my granny.

Does anyone want to buy my mother? ;) (Fairly good condition, affectionate, and easy to maintain. Does require attention at times, especially ten minutes before the end of a film you have been watching. )

This. Half at the video, half at the thought of the creator who apparently has wayyyy too much time on his hands....

Buying the book today, A Tribute To Anne McCaffrey & Pern & on reading it that in the chapter by David Gerrold he says Terry Pratchett based a main character in the Discworld novels on Anne McCaffrey & I decided that character had to be Lady Sybil. What a super thing Sir Terry did. I'd never have placed that if I'd not read that part of the book just now. I wonder if Anne knew he'd done that?
Best wishes,
Tiff

I heard that recently too, Tiff and I'm sure it was Sybil - after all she really is/was a Dragon Lady. :)

I wonder if there are any other authors who have been immortalised within the discworld books
Rankin or Gaiman maybe?
