"What made you smile today?"

Trite as this sounds, coming on this forum and seeing this as a thread. It's just nice to know there's a quiet little corner of the Internet where people appreciate the happier particulars of the day.

Yes, and this is the eighth incarnation of the thread. I usually start a new one when we get to 100 pages. :D

Got something totally unexpected in the mail today! A big manilla envelope dropped through the mail slot and it turned out to be from one of my best friends in high school. She lives in Miami Beach now and I haven't heard from her in years. We used to go to concerts together all the time and our all time favorite was Adam Ant - we even met him once! She went to a meet & greet with him down there and got our old pictures with him signed. She sent that to me with a bunch of other goodies. Couldn't believe it! She's going to be in town over New Year's and I really hope we can get together. :D

Here's one to bring back more memories Susanne. I remember bouncing around the dance floor on many occasions to this one. :D

At the risk of sounding crass and materialistic, getting a bunch of Doctor Who CDs delivered from Book Depository. I am now the proud owner of the audios of the missing stories from The Macra Terror to The Ice Warriors, as well as the Big Finish audios The Foe from the Future, The Valley of Death (both stories considered for the classic series and starring Tom Baker), and both parts of Blood of the Daleks. :D

Oh, and I finally got the Doctor Who Magazine special with the telesnaps from the first year or so of Patrick Troughton's tenure! :D
