Didn't they hang a monkey once in Hartlepool, because they thought it was a French spy?

That's how the story goes hnorwood. They couldn't understand a word it said in answer to their questioning so they assumed it was a frenchman and therefore guilty as hell.
The monkey was subsequently elected as mayor of the town (in the shape of Hungus......a bloke in a costume  ) and i think he was recently re-elected.

I made pickles today. :D Also picked two miniature pumpkins from the girls' fairy garden. Must have grown from the one we left there last Halloween.

A man passed out on the beach in Miami for four hours, and got a horrible sunburn, specifically to the front of his legs above his knees.

He went to the hospital, and was promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second-degree burns.

With his skin already starting to blister, and the severe pain he was in, the doctor prescribed continuous intravenous feeding with saline, electrolytes, a sedative, and a Viagra pill every four hours.

The nurse, who was rather astounded, asked, 'What good will Viagra do for him, Doctor?

The doctor replied, 'It won't do anything for his condition, but it'll keep the sheets off his legs.

The review of the new film Diana in The Daily Mirror

Watts "looks, acts and sounds nothing like the Princess of Wales. Wesley Snipes in a blonde wig would be more convincing."

Today I got a job! It's only a 2 week contract, but the person I'm replacing walked out yesterday, so chances are, if I'm any good there, it'll be for longer. I was made redundant last November, so this is a huuuuge weight off my back!

...And now I'm picturing Wesley Snipes in a blonde wig, heh heh heh

Nice one Mazekin! I can only wish you the very best of luck with your new, and hopefully permanent, job.

Princess Diana, that poor woman. Why can't they let her be.

Got them all. "You scored better than 93% of the public and the same as 7%."

Surprised the most difficult question seemed to be, "what is most of the atmosphere made of"
