The great thing about being pregnant is the free WiFi.

 we have a similar sign, ours looks more like an in-built radio!

What made me smile today is that when I finished at university, I decided to walk home, since it was a nice day, and my path lead by my favourite grocer, so I popped in to buy some apples (it always feels a bit Godfather-ish ), and when I walked in, an incredible smell of home made chicken soup hit me, like my granny makes it, it was sooooo good, I even told the grocer so ;) when I payed for my apples I wished him bon appétit, and he was like "Would you like to take some away?" and I was like nooo, it's all right, don't worry, but he was like "Sure, here, let me get you a take-away bowl..." so he came back with a plastic plate which he was going to put some foil on, but I knew there was NO WAY I could take it away like that, especially as the soup was boiling hot, so I said I wasn't in a hurry and that I could eat it there if he didn't mind :) so he put out a little chair for me in the stockroom (it's a really small shop, so it's not like I was isolated, I was still withing 3-4 meters from him) and we ate our soup  It was SOOO good! Very-very tasty! And also really funny, since his friends were popping in, they were like "ow, I'm just going to grab a beer in the back" and the grocer was "you can't go to the back" "why not?" "because there's a young lady eating there" "haha, april's fool, yeah right" and came anyway, then suddenly stopped when they noticed there was indeed a young lady sitting in the back :D:D

It's just really nice to know that there still are some warm-hearted people outside (...who also know how to cook - never a disadvantage :D)
Listen.

Chicken soup has a kind of magic, it brings out the best in people. Great story mC.

This made me smile. I've heard Robin tell this story but have never seen film of it.

That's such a lovely story Mici :D Reminded me of the Indian corner shop near where i lived in Leicester - good kind people and their little boy used to come round to me for help with his literacy. Happy days!

I had a class of twenty children in the shop today to learn about teddy bears and the history of toys. They were all 5 years old and came round in two batches of 10 kids each with two teachers and we had a great time, I gave a short talk and then passed round old teddies for then to cuddle and see how they have changed over the years. They were wonderfully well behaved and brought their own teddies from home to visit mine :D
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..
