(More a "what did you do yesterday?")
Mrs N and I spent the weekend in the fair city of Durham committing Morris as part of the Durham Folk Party. Saturday was like an oven, but the onlookers were all very appreciative, which makes all the difference. And the Market Square is a great place to dance - the acoustics are great too. Sunday was a bit cooler and it actually rained while we were dancing, but we soon dried out. Still a goodly crowd of onlookers! We made friends with the Safe City bear of Durham City Police and danced the "Bear Dance" for him! (they posted a few pic on their twitter feed @SafeCityBear )
We attended the "survivors" event on Sunday evening - a great little folk evening with everyone joining in with a song or a poem or a tune. I took my bagpipes along and was astounded when I started playing "Scotland the Brave" and eight or so people go up and started dancing! That's a first for me!
We drove home today and detoured to look around "Locomotion" at Shildon - the National Railway Museum's "Northern" branch.
