Hope you have enough fun to make up for missing the game!

I could scare Dug by answering it. ;)

Going to a meeting at the school. Mostly not stressed about it, but trying to be prepared for someone saying something stupid.

If they do, just give them a Weatherwax "look".

Don't know if I can pull off a Weatherwax look, but I'll do my best! I'll have a pen and notebook, so I can definitely write down what they say, Sacharissa-style.

Still think you ought to record it so you can get a true transcript.

Do a sneaky and get one of those pens that films and records sound if you have a coat/jacket with a top pocket on it, or a little lapel camera. ;)

I suggested that last year, Dug, when she was having problems with the teaching assistant, but a) they don't record for very long, unless you spend $sssss and b) Catch-up didn't want to be sneaky!

 Plus, if you record people without their permission you can get into a little bit of legal trouble. ;)

I know what you mean though. To record it, everyone there has to agree to it, and suggesting that is like throwing down a gauntlet. It's something you typically do when things have gotten really bad. Fortunately, this is just me updating them on some information and the TC's boss will be there, along with other people I trust, so this should be pretty straightforward. However, I never like to underestimate people's ability to say something stupid at any given moment.

Now, at this meeting we will be scheduling another meeting to go over Ava's needs. The likelihood of things going diplomatically awry will be much higher at that meeting.

The lapel camera records around an hour for the one my mate has and that was not a pricey one, and all you do then is copy down on paper what was said. ;)
