We had a major panic (at least some people panicked majorly) on the Cupcakes kitten cam when two of the kittens were seen to tunnel under one of the blankets and were not seen again for over an hour. In the meantime, Momma Sugarplum plopped herself down on the blanket and proceeded to feed the remaining four. People were terrified that she had somehow squashed them, or that they had suffocated under there. Someone even telephoned the shelter to ask them to call Shelly and get her to check on the missing two. Eventually, momma finished feeding and pulled back the blanket to expose the two scamps. No sooner had she done that than one tunnelled back under and the other escaped from the basket, only to be retrieved by his mom.

That is not a house cat. That is the offspring of a house cat and a lynx. I give it a month before their home is destroyed and that cynx is back at the pound.
