Shades of Nation...

The Mad Collector wrote:On Hootalinqua Island on the Yukon River there is the abandoned remains of the SS Evelyn, a river paddle steamer that was dragged ashore to be repaired and just left there. I took the photos in 1995 when I was kayaking in the area. There are a lot more shots of abandoned places on that trip if anyone is interested. Apologies for the quality as it isn't great as they are scans of old prints.

Some good pictures here of the Petite Ceinture, an abandoned railway line that circles Paris.

Just read an article about this photographer who specializes in abandoned sites, and "painting with light". Very cool shots and effects!

Excellent pics there. :D

I've always wanted to have a crack at painting with light but don't have the time or equipment (or skill for that matter) to do it. This video tutorial shows you how it's done and just how involved the whole process is.

By the way, the guy on the video, Gavin Hoey, is coming to our camera club in a couple of weeks to give a lecture (he's a bit of a celeb in photographic circles). :D

Wow! That is complicated. I love the results though. I only have the old Paint Shop Pro 7 from 2001.

It says that a lot of the place has been looted......but also says theres a car dealer still with new cars in.......too big to move easily maybe  . Whatever make they are I can think of several car nerds that would virtually kill to get hold of zero mileage 70s cars like that!
