The lead singer of Goldfrapp used to live in Alton (5 miles from me) when she was a teenager. Didn't know her personally, but by all accounts she was a bit of a rebel.

At least now we have a good team. We don't get the terrible thrashings that used to happen when I was younger. An early Rory Bremner recording that I still have in my vinyl collection :D

Probably some of you know Mike Oldfield's "To France".
Yesterday I heard it on the radio and I must say... not so great. I now understand why my girlfriend can't stand that song.
However, there is one version of it I've known for years which is very good, imo. If you like Mike Oldfield's version, you'll probably like this other version as well.
If you don't, you still might like...

I prefer the original, but you do need to hear it on the original vinyl as the CD version was horribly clipped when they did the transfer totally destroying the upper and lower registers
