For Linux there is ClamAV - possibly some others as well. I used to have ClamAV installed, but I don't feel it did anything so I'm not running it anymore.

Currently using AVG paid-for (had a good rebate), after going out of mind with Kaspersky, which I warn you NEVER to buy. I couldn't get the earlier version off my computer, the new one won't install, and I'm still working with technical support to try to get rid of it.

Wipe and reinstall. The proved and tested method for Windows problems.
