I think you'd really enjoy it!

Ah! Nostalgia.

I once did a Government scheme that involved learning to build and repair computers. We used to get old ones donated from companies and we used to wipe the hard drives and install Windows 95 and try to sell them. My original computer (that still works) was a rebuild, but I went mad and installed Windows 98 instead. It had nearly 1GB of hard drive memory.

Ha Ha   Minions in a VW 181..........

Probably more interesting to me cos I'm a VW nerd  ;)

I can bore you with some 181 facts if you want.

It was a 2 wheel drive 4 door convertible mainly for the military market
It's based on a Beetle chassis but with floorpans from a VW Karmann Ghia which are a bit wider.
It has the same aircooled engine as VW Beetles and used the same swing axle gearbox but it also used VW Split screen camper reduction boxes up until 1973.

have I bored you enough yet?????

Based on the Kübelwagen. The German equivalent of the Jeep as a general use small military vehicle. Not to be confused with the Volkswagen Schwimmwagen, amphibious car, which owed a lot of its design to the Kübelwagen and both vehicles owed a lot to the civilian Beetle. :D

And then there was the Type 87 Commander wagen which was a splitscreen beetle body with a 4WD Schwimmwagen base - and that's the one I want!

And there was the Ringostarr which joined the beetle family a little late but... Oh wait sorry that was the beAtles.
Incidentally does anyone else think it looks like a bunch of emoticons in dungarees driving around looking for emails and forum posts to invade?
