New Friends

Postby amythompson » Mon Mar 11, 2013 4:46 pm

Im looking for friends in an around Bristol, who obviously like Terry Pratchett,im looking to perhaps go to conventions,to Wincanton, and if someone drives iim willing to share petrol costs, but idealy would love a friend to chat to,so dont be shy.
Ladies ok,but prefer a man if im allowed to say that,Amy

It's one of those things I think. You'd expect the site to have lots of people from Brimingham, but as far as I can remember there are very few. I think I'm the only member who regularly posts from Cardiff, for example.

Are you a member of Facebook or something like that? You might see if there are any Pratchett fans on there in your area. Not that I recommend Facebook. I left it after it got too silly.

Maybe you need to get to know the people here and let us get to know you. That's how online friendships usually get going. And distance needn't be a problem. I met my wife on a Pratchett site and she lives in Tucson Arizona. I travel there as often as I can. :)

I second Tony, there are discworld/terry pages on facebook. Apart from that just join in with the chat and see where it takes you. 8-)

Well I happen to know there are hundreds of Pratchett fans in Brisbane... I see them everytime I have been to the BAT (Brisbane Arts Theatre) productions.... but I am the only one registered on this site (one or two others at different times but they dont post). Who knows who might pop up out of the woodwork Amy.

oh and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

I use twitter Amy the are a few Discworld fans there Oh! and not all young they are a more mature bunch. There is also the Cunning Artificer's forum from Wincanton, it's the shop's online site there are a few of us on here who also frequent it.
