Awwwwwwwwwwwww. But I'm not supposed to be here. I should be in bed or cleaning. Huge day today .. huge day tomorrow.

And yes. Hayden not only remembers things about you but she remembers bizarre things about all of you  She has just had a whole week at her dads and its been a bit rough on her so I brought her a new powerpack for her little notebook. She is so excited. She has visions of both of us being on the forum at the same time. Now we just have to figure out how to make it connect to the wifi.

She dropped the iPhone her dad gave her in the loo and he wont fix it so I gave her an old phone of mine. It has alot of old pics on it and we were looking through them today. Hey Bouncy... remember the Mr Bean mask?

Second place Alanz. Brilliant. How old is she?

She's 6, Del,and she lives for Dancing, but she does get tired bless her, she's been competing for a week now, nearly every day, because they're off school on Easter break, i think she had Sunday off and it's been practice in between competing, although when she isn't competing she only goes once a week usually on a Saturday.

Really? Rice. I think he threw it out....

Alanz.. a week of dancing is a loooong time for a 6 year old. Wow. Well done her.

Better get this one up before you know who comes back to post..... though to be fair .. she was in fits too.

Hayden was at her Speech Therapists a few weeks ago learning to say and recognise conjoined vowels, etc.... thing is that alot of the older books have words that we dont use alot these days OR that H is still catching up on as since her speech was so limited for so long we used different words that she could say or simpler English, so Lorna is always thorough and makes sure she understands what the word means and how to use it in a sentence.

She was learning "e-r" and "u-r" and some others and the rules as to when to use which vowels when and then putting them in words. Now to test her understanding she does a whole lot of "nonsense" words and "real" words. Haydens condition means that her brain doesnt function easily with words that arent already wired into her brain so she gets stuck on an unrecognised word, hence the nonsense words and how to apply the rules of speech.

So as you can imagine her sessions are very intense and she works hard at them.

Lorna: Bl-ur-t!
Hayden: Bl-ur-t!
Lorna: So do you think thats a real word or a silly word Hayden?
Hayden: Silly?
Lorna: No Hayden. Blurt is a real word... it means ... it means when something just comes out before you can stop it. You just BLURT out something. Can you use it in a sentence for me?
Hayden: Ohhhhhhhhh... yes. This morning I blurted out a fart!

Took us ages to get on with the lesson

We have lived with Haydens condition since her toddler years and we find the humour where it lands. She has a brilliant sense of humour too. Its the saving grace of what she and we have to deal with. Having spent alot of time with disabled kids you would be suprised at the jokes they find in their disabilities.

Bit like science jokes.... if you dont understand the physics behind the equation you dont get the joke.
