Discworld Characters with Roundworld Jobs

It's silly o'clock in the moring here, half time in the footy and I just had a thought. What jobs would Discworld characters have in the real world?

1. Rincewind - Ronald McDonald
2. Vetinari - Driving instructor
3. Nobby Nobbes - Professional guinea pig for scientific experiments
4. Ptraci - Big Brother contestant
5. Carrot - Traffic warden
6. Constable Visit-the-ungodly-etc-etc - US Republican Presidential candidate

Nah! Granny'd be a top psychologist (or possibly a profiler like Cracker or Mulder in X Files perhaps) - and do a Zeigfried and Roy type animal magic act as a hobby (without the mirrors) :lol:

Nanny - well she'd be like Zsa Zsa Gabor possibly - a great House Keeper anyway. Only with a sense of humour... and a better right hook :P

Magrat - not sure - possibly run a Crystal/New Age type shop near Tintagel and go midnight-surfing :wink:

But what about as her incarnation as Queen Ynci in Lords and Ladies - where she totally gets her groove on with armour and axes and kills elves ! - very Pfeiffer -esque

Nah, Constable Visit (the ungodly with pamphlets and wear out door knockers) would never make a US Republican presidential candidate.

Visit's honest, soft-spoken (even when he won't shut the hell up about the pamphlets, already) and he doesn't have the fierce self-righteousness and determination (to get ahead by means of whatever torture's available) of Vorbis.

Now, Vorbis, yeah, a Republican down to his sandals.
May he rot in hells.
