I feel knackered.

Been awake, off and on, since about midnight, with acid reflux. No medication in the flat, so I drank 2 litres of water to try and dilute it.

Result? I went to the bathroom a lot!

I'm being pestered by a colleague for a teaching commitment next year, but I can't give one because I might not be at work. But until I can say for sure (less than three weeks until approval to be a parent!) I can't say anything. Having to tell people that I didn't get approved would be awful.

This particular person will not be happy if I agree to something which I then don't do. But she also won't be happy until I give her an answer. And if I say no, she'll go ballistic. Hide for three weeks? :?

You did a 300 piece one?? :o Sharlene and I often say:"It's a nice picture, but not 300 pieces nice." I've never been that tempted. It does occasionally glitch, although it's a lot better than it was. Updating Java may help. Sorry you had a problem. :(

Dotsie! Tell her yes and if you decide you are not going to work tell why it's no longer possible, as a life changing situation has occurred and hubby does not want you to work. :)

Yeah, she's not that understanding  BTW taking leave of at least a few months is essential, taking charge of a child and putting them straight into day care would get me into a lot of trouble. Once I'm approved, the leave is a certainty, but first I have to get approved, and then the timescales are uncertain - could be straight away, could be a year.

You have to say something like: I wouldn't want to disappoint you or cause you any future headaches if I'm not able to keep that commitment. Make it seem like it's her with the problem. Which, of course, it is.

 She just came in to have a mardy at me, and she wanted to know what else I had on. It didn't please her that I wouldn't say!

Just did your cat jigsaw to cheer myself up. 5:50, shocking!

Did you get it straightened out with her then Dotsie? Hope she doesn't bug you anymore!

Today is the girls' last day of school. Kind of bittersweet. We are all so over school, the schedule, the homework, ready for summer break. But it's so much easier to get stuff done while I'm home alone. Not to mention that I'll now be refereeing a lot.

Sounds like fun! Can you wear them out every day, or will that just wear you out too?

This woman won't be satisfied no matter what I tell her. If I told her the truth, she'd just think I was doing it to avoid work  Don't care, the worst part is over (ie refusing her to her face) :D
