I have to go to the store so I'll look for that tea. Thanks!

Nah Whisky +lemon juice + ginger + hot water + honey
If you can fill the unforgiving minute,

And - which is more - you'll be a man my son.

Yep. It may have been harmless, but then again, any kind of snake is not something you'd want in the house. Not unless it's a pet. But as I mentioned before, my mother hates them, and it's bloody expensive to have one as a pet anyway. So yeah. But seeing it slither from out of the sliding window runner was a shock and a half.

Hope the flu gets better.

I've tried that cure Square (minus the ginger) and it turns out that whiskey makes me sicker. :( Can't drink whiskey normally, maybe that's the problem?

I'm with you Q, snakes do not belong in the house! And thanks for the get well wishes. I'm sure I'll be fine in a couple of days. It's not too bad, just hoping it doesn't get worse. It might actually be allergies, I'm not sure.

These are lovely, and have quite a strong ginger aftertaste at the back of the throat.

Bit pricey, mind you, but it's medicinal.

I would send you some, but the throat/cold will be over by the time I get them and send them on!

Yipes Q living where you are any snake must be assumed to be lethal until proven otherwise. Here it's the other way round

We can but hope. Problem is, I've been seeing a snake on occasion around the house for the past few years. Why is that a problem? The one that the snake handlers caught was only one to one-and-a-half years old. Even leaving aside the assumption that they may be of the same species, that means that there is more than one snake around. Hopefully, the other one is smart enough not to try and enter the house.

If not, I'll be channeling my inner Samuel L Jackson.

Get a pet mongoose, they are champion snake fighters!

I like that part of the story the best. :D :D an axe.

Oh man, I've had an occasion or two with a snake over the years. In hindsight I always think, Why didn't I just stay calm? But I tell ya, it's impossible!

Mongoose eh? I like the way you think.

I wish everyone who's feeling poorly a speedy recovery.

I feel good today btw.

Q's story makes my 'bee in the bedroom' anecdote from this morning seem a bit tame  Still, it got me out of bed (and Mr Dotsie - builder of bathrooms, defender of the innocent, and evicter of bees).
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
