Antiq wrote:I feel like shit :crying-yellow: My dog, Murph, died suddenly a few hours ago. No illness, no unusual behaviour, absolutely nothing to indicate anything wrong. He was his usual self. Then I heard a whimpering sound coming from the couch where he was dozing, then a sort of scream. I thought he was having a bad dream and went to check and couldn't wake him and then he just died. I'm still in shock. He was only 5 years old.

How terrible for you. *HUGS* :(

Hugs Antiq. Sounds like a heart attack, one of our dogs went the same way. It helped us to know he didn't suffer.

Yes, that is something of a comfort, no long drawn out illness or having to have him put to sleep. I think that's what it was too, or a stroke or aneurism. Wow, it's weird not having him here nudging me for attention while I'm at the computer or reminding me to refill his water bowl ......

Oh you poor thing. I still miss our Jess, and she's been gone for about five or six years.

Big hugs to you and yours.
