It's so miserable when you can't sleep because you can't breathe. :( Hope you're better soon Bouncy.

Thanks, Mici.

as soon as I spend my holiday money on a new computer
with the assurance that there wasn't going to be a holiday this year
my Mom said that she has borrowed a bungalow/holiday home in Wales
for a short break in September I've got mixed emotions
I don't know whether to be happy or slowly bang my head against a brick wall :?
I think I might be able to scrape about £150 together for then to cover travel, food and touresty activates
as least I've got the stuff for the suitcase all done and sorted thanks to last years sale :D

Band practice went fairly well on Sunday, I only came close to losing my temper once. Thankfully the Bass player noticed and distracted all of us. I am up to 15 songs, down almost pat, in less than a month. I am well impressed. This is like when I decided to sing "The Messiah" a year ago and walked in to 7 weeks of INTENSE MEMORIZATION and learning of that beast from beginning to end, singing the Tenor part. I had never heard any of it besides the Hallelujah Chorus.

I like the songs that the band's leader has picked. I am really working at least as hard at this as that two hour piece written by a manic depressive Handel. (he also hated tenors) I never thought I would be learning an entirely new genre of music, heretofore despised by me, and even enjoy it. I am doing my immersion method of learning it, I play it for hours every day and go over every little nuance in the songs and retype them out with color for different words. I had to do that with Messiah too, I bought a bevy of pretty highlighters and utterly destroyed the sheetmusic for anyone else, but MY part was properly accented with bright colors which helped Immensely with my eyes being icky (slowly going towards blindness from pressure). The process seems to be working again. So Yay!
