Well I spent a large part of yesterday seting up a new window display to advertise the fact that I also sell old bears in the shop and thought it would be a fun idea to have a doll with a sewing machine appearing to be repairing / making a bear. This is what I came up with, pictures taken before I added the signs saying what the bears are:
Apologies for the reflections, my windows are coated with a film to help prevent fading of items on display but it does mean a lot of surface glare even with a polarising filter. There are 7 different makers represented, six British and one German. Of these the German firm and only one of the British companies are still trading (and even that one went bust and restarted a few years ago)
I dunno...to me the whole scene has kind of a torture vibe to it--maybe it's because the doll has kind of a scary killer-doll look to it and seems to be enjoying 'skinning' a poor bear . Sorry--been reading too many horror books lately.
