We watched part of the Vallejo Yacht Club's Race from Mare Island yesterday afternoon. This was the 114th year of the traditional race. The blue building in the backround is the Vallejo Ferry Terminal.

We were watching the same thing, but over this side! :D
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Sailing.......I like sailing. Not doing it you understand - just sitting on the beach or in the camper, watching with a glass of something alcoholic in my hand

Great hippie Chilli! :D

Jaz, beautiful photos! Hubby and I used to go sailing. I feel slightly seasick just remembering it. I also remember that buckets of spiders would fall out when we'd uncover the sails. :?

Here's a bit more from yesterday's outing before going back to sorting my holiday pics.

We revisited the derelict woodland chapel, hoping to find it surrounded by bluebells but there were none to be found there. :( The chapel is still a great place to visit though and we intend to return in the autumn. :D

We stopped off at a pub next to the Wey and Arun Canal (just off to the right of the pic opposite the barges) for a very pleasant lunch.

Image

Then we went to St Botolph's Church, Hardham where they have some wall paintings dating from the early 12th century. These are part of the 'Lewis Group' which can be found at other old churches throughout Sussex.

And finally, a couple of shots from a couple more places we visited.
