thank you very much frightening story shortly after I took the picture of the theatre
(the building with the giant dragon mural on it)
my camera slipped out my hands and clipped the wall in front of me
and the lens froze open for half and hour till I learnt how to reset the programming on it
building material was defecated in that half hour

I also used to live in an area where you couldn't leave a vehicle, for fear that the wheels would be nicked! ;) :lol:

please don't correct me by saying it never had wheels ...

I know that feeling. I once dropped my wide angle lens onto concrete and feared a £700 bill to replace it. Fortunately (and a good reason for not buying cheap third-party lenses), the lens is well built and escaped damage other than a few scratches on the lens cap. I'm glad yours survived as well. :D
