And I thought no one could outdo the U.S. in terms of producing whack-job politicians. Clearly, we've met our masters... :o

There were a lot of angry American on the Kitten site listening to the Texas senate trying to pass ludicrous anti-abortion laws. A female Texas Democrat tried to filibuster the vote and spoke for ten hours until the session had closed. The senate still went ahead with the vote and passed the thing, only to have it overturned later as illegal. The angry Americans on the kitten site were those people who are against this sort of control over a woman's rights.

But the thing that left me speechless was the female Texan Republican who thought a Rape Kit automatically gave a raped woman an abortion. :x

What's the reverse of thinking?
Stupid woman  Half an hour stuck in an elevator with Wendy Davis would sort out her ideas.

They voted after midnight and tried to backdate the vote. Luckily there were all kinds of records of the actual time of voting, so they didn't get away with it.

Morons exist in many places, but Texas seems to have a high incidence of them, probably because they legalized lying in their "sex education" classes so they have the highest rate of repeated teenage pregnancy.

Considering there are so many pro-life people in Texas, it seems ironic that it is the state that the highest execution rate by far.

They believe that you can't get pregnant if you do it standing up?.....or if there's a cat in the room??
:shifty:
I'm still feeling queasy about what that woman said about a rape kit 'cleaning out' the rape victim and removing the chance of pregnancy....like washing out a frozen chicken possibly?

Here's the ironic thing--these right wingers DO think. Ted Kysinski(sp.) the Unibomber is/was an incredibly intelligent man and his 'essay' demonstrated the same kind of horrifying 'deep thinking' Hitler displayed in Mein Kampf. Some of the most ardent creationists are otherwise brilliant scientists who write incredibly complex books trying to prove that Some Guy Up There created us. You don't have to be afraid of people who don't think--they'll just let their minds be numbed by the Kardashians. The worst that they can do is be manipulated into a mob to wreak havoc on local targets. It's the people who spend a great deal of time formulating and communicating these bigoted and horrifying opinions that people need to be afraid of.
