Same here but we're on the outer edge so it lasted about an hour or so. Like a set of drums being dropped down the stairs every 5 minutes.
I wish I was a glow worm. A glow worm's never glum. Cos how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum?

Watch the lightning live on this website :D

http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime?lang=en

It's lifting the live data from another site and presenting it better on a zoomable map. The original site can be found here

One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Slept right through the thunder storms the last few nights, not often glad to be partially deaf :D However, did have to work through a storm yesterday morning, got slightly damp
Susan did an unusual thing and listened. that's not an easy task for a teacher.

I was working so I missed it all. I'm hoping that there will be another on my way home tonight so I can try and get some pics. :)

Had some here too. Struck me how bright the lightening was, and how far away.

Happy to report that I'm fine although the thunder did wake me up. I didn't go out and take photos either because I was not aware of the severity of the storm until later but here's a clip of what was happening here.

I don't think anyone was hurt other than damage to property but the station subway regularly floods when it rains (although not to that extent normally) and the other areas shown are not usually prone to flooding.

It's gotten weirdly chilly here again.
