Here in IL, USA we have had thunderstorms through the night, Ice 1/4 inch thick this morning, rain all late morning and afternoon to be followed soon by a line of lovely thunderstorms with possible tornadoes... Then, tomorrow it will snow again and the Polar Vortex will be back giving us some wonderful below zero farenheit temps again to solidify all of the snow which is half melted into a mass of solid ice.

Rain, thunder and more snow here yesterday. Of course, the rain and melting snow froze on the rural roads overnight, so no school today. High winds here today, more rain through the week, then back in the deep freeze. They've already added on a couple more days to school to make up for the time the kids have been off.

The only thing likely to grow in the fields round here would be rice
