Yes, the Russian orthodox church* celebrates Christmas according to the Julian calendar (why would they use the calendar that some Roman pope had made up?), so they're a couple of days behind.
During Soviet Union times they didn't officially celebrate Christmas at all, but only New Year (Gregorian calender this time) with Grandfather Frost bringing the presents.
*Like all eastern churches, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong!
