RIP - BEA ARTHUR

Bea Arthur, long-time stage actress won a Tony for her appearance in Mame before beginning her television career at the young age of 50 as a regular on All in the Family. She went on to star as the outspoken feminist in her own show, Maude, for which she won an Emmy in 1977. She then appeared in numerous seasons in Golden Girls. Bea Arthur died peacefully at the age of 86 of cancer. She will be missed.

Bea was wonderful in the The Golden Girls - I guess I'm getting to that age where people who've made life better start disappearing :cry:

Going to my school was an education in itself. Which is not to be confused with actually getting an education (Schultz)
