Quite a few of us lurked before posting for several years now - beware the siren lure of this forum! ;)

Hi guys another newbie here :D  . A TP fan ever since I received The Colour of Magic graphic novel 20 odd years ago as a gift and was mesmerized by the imagery - even going so far to adapt some for an art project I was doing at the time…

In the ensuing years I noticed stuff Id seen in the graphic novel in films like Dark City and Avatar.

Always wondered why COM has never been adapted into a big movie - especially in light of LOTR/Potter huge success. I know they did the Sky series but no big movie..

Hi benny and welcome! :)

Part of the reason there has never been a big movie, is that Terry has been reluctant to sell the rights to Hollywood. Rumour has it that there was one a plan to make Mort into a movie, but the producer was talking about getting rid of Death . . .

Since then Terry has been very selective about who would make a movie and make a faithful adaptation. There was talk of Terry Gilliam doing one for a long time, but it never happened. :?
