NAtion was such a good book. Heart breaking ending but brilliant.

Hellooo and welcome Kat. As of this morning, I think they had just 13 places left for the 2014 Convention in Manchester (assuming you are in the UK) so you might be lucky if you try and apply now. HERE is the link to the official site's homepage. :D

Hi welcome to the forum Kat. Loads of info below.
http://www.discworldemporium.com/ for info on Hogwatch.
There is no charge to attend Hogwatch over the weekend just you're hotel bill.
Join us on on 29th November - 1st December for our famous Hogswatch festivities in Wincanton, Somerset, and revel in entertainments diverse and unusual in Ankh-Morpork's own twin town.
This year we're celebrating the 30th ANNIVERSARY of our beloved Discworld, so come dressed as one of the hundreds of characters or concepts that have graced the pages of our favourite fantasy series over the years, or just don your best party outfit, at least a tinsel garnish, and join in the fun.

The weekend's merriments will include lectures, theatrical entertainments, feasting, gaming, activities for little folk, charitable nonsense and, if you've been good little boys and girls, a visitation from a certain Hogfather, all held in venues throughout the town. For more details of programme items click the 'What's On' button below.
Hogswatch is a delightfully informal gathering that is (mostly) free to attend, but be mindful that you will have to source your own accomodation - click the 'Where to Stay' button for ideas on where to rest your head.
How to find us - we're on Google Maps, where you'll find directions, public transport infomation and more to aid you in your journey.

Hi there Kat - the Irish one should be a hoot this year as the long-awaited short feature Troll Bridge should be premiering on the final day :D

Hi guys. An avid discworld reader from Ireland here in the wilds of county Clare. I'm also starting to become a bit of a collector of Terry Pratchett books.
