Hi there Darthia - I think you can get passes on the day still to the convention which is in central Manchester. Worth finding out anyway :D

Thank you for the suggestions! I'd have to talk to her about the convention since it's in Manchester and we're in London but I'll look into that. She doesn't have the maps though, what format are they in and where can I get them from?

Yeah she has all the books and is already re-reading them.. ;)

Thank you all for your help!

Hi Darthia, Welcome to the forum, There are Discworld conventions in different countries depending on your location, in Wincanton where the shop is (Cunning Artifcers) twice a year there are events which are free to attend Spring Fling in May and Hogwatch end of November beginning of December if you're on faceborg there is info or even Twitter where nearer the time there are posts. Pterry usually comes to Hogwatch. Maps here: http://www.discworldemporium.com/books/non-fiction just seen your last post it's hour and half from Hammersmith bus station to WINCANTON with Berry's coaches.

Welcome and Introduce Yourself 5

Postby Jadis » Mon Mar 31, 2014 1:06 pm

Hi all,

I'm new here so allow me to introduce myself. Where does one start...well I'm Bryn From Solihull in the West Midlands (UK). I'm a Terry fan (Hmmmmmmm that's obvious as would not be here if I were not such...). I co-own a touring theatre Company which I'll not name in case I break a rule on my first day. We are touring Weird Sisters in May and June this year.

I live with my partner and our four cats and as well as the theatre company, I run a Charity offering advice to Disabled People.

Not sure what else to say....could go on and on but fear of sending you all in to a coma prevents me. I look forward to reading the forums and posting.

I'll finish by bowing to the great Sir Terry.
