Somewhat related, even though Con seems to use firefox:

Means: Until MS has fixed it, you should at least temporarily use another browser, like Firefox, Chrome (or Lynx :P) or Safari.

Yes Bouncy, it has been running fine since the fix. I also removed Java. Ad-Aware does not seem to be running ATM. Malwarebyte is still running with Norton though.

The free trial for Malwarebytes is over on my PC. It looks like it still does free scans, but is not "activity" searching for threats. Are there any "paying" users here, or is the a way to have be actively running for free?

I installed but it does not seem to be actively protecting my system like the free trial was. Any suggestions?

Have you downloaded the latest updates for it and checked that norton is not blocking it.

Norton is more fecking trouble than it's worth - even if it was on bargain basement sale price...

McAfee is bloody awful too. I've had it as a free sample on a couple of computers and gotten rid of it as soon as possible.

Don't you just hate those self-important programs that insist you stop whatever you are doing and pay attention to them?

That's because it's in temporary files I should think. Some sites do this when you link a picture. Sometimes the picture you actually post is quite rude - without you knowing. ;)
