Back from The Discworld Convention

We've just arrived back from the Discworld Convention. It was brilliant fun meeting up with Toothy (and family), Jan Van Quirm, Penfold, The Mad Collector, michelanCello, Sjoerd3000, Dotsie and TwoShotTino (and anyone else I may have missed!).

Discworld Strangely Fascinating was a huge success. Well done to all involved!

I agree, Jason. It was fabulous to meet everyone, including Dotsie, of course, and some from the old Harper Collins board, too - such lovely, friendly people, every single one.

Terry himself said it was the best ever Con so far and that he had had a wonderful time. It's always a privilege to have chance to say even a few words to TP and, while he's clearly battling his illness, he hasn't lost his sharp wit.

The Committee did it's usual amazing job. There weren't many things people could be unhappy about and, considering the multitude of elements to think of, plan, implement and resource, they can be justly proud of themselves. And now, there's a new committee chairman, John Hix, the Necromancer himself. Watch out 2014, it's going to be a serious blast!

I blame a lack of sleep over the last few days. So tired, must step away form computer and go to bed.

Pics are coming, I am posting mine later this evening, Penners will be home late tonight and is planning on sorting his out during the week.

It was great fun, and between us we should have 400 or 500 usable shots so there is a lot to get ready.
