When YOU LOT are watching the opening ceremony.... WE will be watching the opening ceremony ! And so will the 'Mericans!

It will be like we are all together .... kinda... but not.... but kind of.....

I am going to make cupcakes iced with the olympic colours !

And a fruit platter with BLUEberries, and BLACK grapes, and oranges, and cheese and snow peas !

I won't be watching it Del, but that's mainly because I don't own a television

The Wenlock Olympian Games finished last weekend, what little I've managed to catch of it has been fun and I will try to make sure I get a break from the shop for the next one to get over there and take pictures.

No I won't be watchng it Del, it will be on the news channels of which I sick of hearing about already, it was one of the reasons why I left and no longer live in London.

Hi,

I think tickets are getting easier to get.

We got lucky in the ballot last year and got Opening Ceremony tix!

But just over 2 weeks ago we also got tix for the Mens 100m Finals, and the Mens 200m Finals.

The really difficult ones to get seem to be for the track cycling. Like gold dust! Even more so after this weekend.

Every train FROM London scheduled to stop at Stratford did so.

Out of 500 trains TO London from elsewhere that were due to stop at Stratford, 491 of them did so.

So roughly 1% of trains didnt stop because of delays caused by the heat.

And this is a headline?

We are having an Opening ceremony get together with some friends, as the kids are all excited about it (they probably won't watch anything other than that bit!),,well may be the closing ceremony.

I´m soooo looking forward to the olympics!When I visited my sister I was so exited to see all the decorations in London and I thought it was a pity I missed the torch relay.I wouldn´t want to live in London but I think it´s an amazing city and I really think that if any city can make the olympics like a big party,it´s London.Of course,some things will go wrong,some tube stations will be overfull,some buses will come too late etc pp.But Olympics isn´t about that,and London isn´t about that either.The city is vibrant,colourful and fun and so are the olympics.such a lot of people have been working so hard for this and there are so many people who have nothing more to do than pick on the faults,like the aunt who comes to the party and complains about everything.
Del is completly right.Get exited guys!Enjoy it!I wish I could be there.
