Unseen University Theme

Postby engineeringsimon » Sat Jul 14, 2012 10:25 am

This short piece of music is inspired by the Unseen University. It starts off fairly formal, but soon deteriorates into chaos as wizards tend to do.

Updated version with real trumpet: http://snd.sc/NtEYoq

Nice :)

It's my tin whistle. I can't play the flute.

Thanks Janet, I was trying to keep it short at the moment for some reason or other. I may lengthen it one day if I feel the urge, but I'll probably get distracted with another idea instead .... e.g.http://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/4b513998dab16d6b9e75eae3b0e249c94e6cb4db

I have updated the theme to have a real trumpet! A friend of mine recorded the trumpet part for me.

The latest version is: http://snd.sc/NtEYoq

Really good! I enjoyed both versions, but prefer the latest, updated one.

The discordant part sounds more mellow but even more askew if that's possible - I guess it's just magic! :P

Ah, the magic of real instruments. Soon there will be more real instruments for the Dragon Riders of Wyrmberg too. :) Now where is that big saucepan...
