The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents

I've been meaning to come here again for a while but what drove me on this time was pure self-interest.

Erm, I bought the 'The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents' read by Tony Robinson and it wasn't till I got to listening to disc three that I found out I've got two disc twos. Is there anyone out there who can send me a copy of disc three? I'm quite prepared to exchange it with disc two if you happen to be the person with two disc threes!

I've read the book so I know what happens, but for peace of mind I would just love to have the third disc. I went back to the shop in Otley, West Yorks, that I bought it from but they had no more copies and I knew I was on to a loser in terms of exchange as I'd taken so long to get around to listening to it and didn't have the receipt anymore anyway.

Can anyone help in anyway???

Sorry Bob, but I only get the unabridged versions because they cut so much out of the abridged versions which to me are not worth bothering about and the narrators are so much better on the full ones its like buying a book and finding a lot of pages missing ,see if you can get the Isis edition out of your local library and compare the quality, I think you will find most people on here think the same.

Love to help, but i'm in the same boat as wee dug, only the unabridged, plus mine are all mp3s, no discs.

Hi Bob and welcome! Could you contact the company who produced the discs? It might be a problem they know about and can help with.

I've got the Tony Robinson version on cassette tape and only bought it because it was for next to nothing in a charity shop. I don't like Tony Robinson'a characterisations and I think I've only played it once.

My suggestion would be to contact whoever you got it from originally.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I like the disc recordings because when I'm stuck in traffic on my way to work they make the journey seem really quick. And Tony Robinson has the perfect voice for Terry Pratchett's books. Generally I've read the books too but there is one or two I've not got to yet as I'm reading all the Discworlds in the order they were written and I was impatient.

raptornx01 - the mp3 of that disc would do, I could just put it on to a disc, it might even be small enough to email me (?).
