Birmingham DW Convention - If you can't go and have a ticket

Hi,

I guess the Broken Drum is for general discussions, great adventures or mishaps. So I have something of the latter to talk about. Just before Christmas I talked with my Mum, Sister and a couple who are good friends of mine (but being in France I rarely see) about us all meeting up for some fun with other Discworlders at the convention. However, they let the ball slip, not realising quite how quickly the tickets sell. I would be most grateful of any news that would aid my quest in finding four tickets. (e.g. send me a private message)

Hi MellowD, I'm afraid you will be very lucky to find four tickets, the waiting list is closed on the DWsite all the tickets I have seen going spare are snapped up rather quick.

I tend to agree, Who's Wee Dug, but one can but try. Thanks for the pointer. Maybe Terry's probability theory will come to my rescue and I can find perhaps one or two.

I'm having 2nd thoughts about going due to the rush of getting down to Heathrow for the Monday, but if I don't go I will probably regret it.

@Del: I think I have two options if I hang around the forums 1)Charm everyone who reads my message and hope one suddenly decides they are not going. 2)Convince people that they in fact made a mistake by reserving a ticket (simply starting this thread seems to have triggered this direction)

Just to say I'm still a looking -apparently there is a deadline of the 6th of June for changing membership details.

Just to say I'm still a looking -apparently there is a deadline of the 6th of June for changing membership details.

The 6th July is the deadline for ticketing amendments for membership transfers

You can transfer membership after that still, but you need to have some sort of evidence of whose registration you've bought - their badge number and name should be enough but check on the website as to the form as you'll have to get Ops to amend the badge by hand when you sign in at the convention.
