Not a good week to be a singer with a distinctive voice. I have so many Fisher-Dieskau recordings and love them all

RIP Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, one of the finest baritones ever

One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Never heard of him before today, but they played some excerpts of his singing in the news. Great voice.

Your change of avator threw me for a second...Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's baritone voice was pure bliss on his day. Bless him and R.I.P.

Here he is with the first song of Schubert's "Winterreise" (Winter Journey), appropriately entitled "Gute Nacht"
