DWD 01B

Postby Bigash » Wed May 02, 2012 7:14 am

Hello, does any one know anything about DWD 01B? its a small Libarian approx 5cm high and bronze in colour and has the old clarecraft label on the base.
I have searched everywhere i can think of but can not find out anything about him.
I know that bronze and pewter finishes were used for a short time from 91 to 93 but that is all.
Please HELP!!!!!

Very, I've only ever seen one other and I was collecting them when it originally came out. The bronze and pewter finishes were unpopular and this figure even when painted didn't sell well as it was to a different scale than all the other figures. The collectors guide says less than 10 were sold of some bronze finished figures and I could easily believe that this was the case with this one.

No idea I'm afraid, never seen one on the secondary market, mind you I'm not looking for these any more.

Perhaps Mad could comment, but I suspect that these aren't collected so much these days anyhow. I don't think there are the dedicated collectors that used to exist. Something is only valuable as long as someone else wants to buy it. :?

True to a certain extent Tony, the big prices for most of the figures have fallen back but some are still wanted and do well. I don't think this is one of those though, as I said it doesn't fit with the rest of the collection so has never been popular. I bought almost all of mine new when they came out so never paid the inflated secondary prices and haven't really kept up with what they are making nowadays.
