Ironbridge looks far too pretty to actually exist.

My crack has been there for years Del

Ironbridge is highly unstable and is slowly sliding down the slope into the river, however my building has been standing for over 220 years and the crack dates back to the 1960's, it's OK now as they spent a lot of money in the 1970's shoring up the place.

As for the bookshop I have been known to go in sometimes

Well, you can come and visit us anytime you like. We're a friendly bunch & we have a big house, so plenty of room. We've just had a second bathroom built downstairs so no morning line ups. Best of all we've got sunshine, beaches, cold beer... and other good stuff I've temporarily forgotton about. I am in Australia though so pack more than one pair of undies.

COOOOOOOOOR! Can I come up and visit? I promise not to bring the kids.

Con, that looks like Vianden to me. It has an absurdly fairy-tale castle (real medieval, restored in the 1960s). Could also be reached in c. 15 min from Prüm.



Also, if you come from Prüm you should also have heard of the Echternacher Springprozession (two steps forward and one step back, the Germans say ) . My village band plays in that.



(That is not our band, but a neighbouring village.)

It is practically impossible to find a pic with both bands and dancers, so here are some of the dancers performing one of the two steps forward.

Twas the flautist.

He lived and died in a suburb of Melbourne called Carlton, which has many excellent Italian restuarants and it's own Australian Rules football team which you can see most weekends if you visit in Winter.

It was never really 2 steps forward and 1 back, more like 2 steps forward and 1 or more to the side, but nowadays, as you can see, a wide variety of steps are practised.
