Love these photos! Lucky you got to go to Disneyland at that age Catch-up. I was 18 on my first trip. Then again, I didn't have to be too concerned about the height regulations. ;)
Be careful what you wish for as you just might get it.

Great pictures Con! :D

And thanks Jaz! We were very lucky to go a couple of times when I was young. Just wish I could remember it better. My memory is terrible. When we go on trips now, I keep a journal to help me remember it. Makes a huge difference!

I love the way mums and dads used to dress up to go to the beach in those days. :D

And I'll put money on my mum still having her stockings on! My Dad'd roll up his turn ups to have a paddle..

Thanks to Chris getting angry with me and making me go buy a portal thingy wossname, I am now going through a load of old photos of my Dad's time in India, Burma and pre war and what was amazing, and that I did not know, was that I had the baptism form of Diane who would have been my elder sister had she lived. She died at six months. That caused a bout of tears 'cos I had always wanted a big sister. But there were lovely shots of my mum and Dad, and blow me, If I didn't find one of my Grandad, complete with fag in mouth and cuddling the hound from Hell that terrified the neighbourhood for years.

Thanks for being strict at me,Chris, ImageI'm still being surprised at what I've found by going through an old suitcase! I've still got to go through the the photo albums...

Finally, why I HAD to choose the name Meerkat. It came as a second nature (taken somewhere in the late 60s)

When my OH Nan died, I went through all her old photos which were just chucked in a box and with the help of OH put them into some kind of chronological order. I then put them into 2 big photo albums and gave them to his Mum for Xmas. She loved it! I also scanned them all in just in case.

I love old photos :D

Looks more like a Kangaroo to me!

So.... if I ever come over to Blighty.... do I have to get dressed up to go to the beach then? Wouldnt your heels go down in the pebbles? How do you lot build sandcastles?

Meer.... you look the same as you do now mate. Still have the same smile and everything. You have just gone up a shoesize or two.
Just keep swimming... just keep swimming.. just keep swimming....

Dearest and mostest friend, how kind of you to notice that it is just a couple of shoe sizes wot I have gone up in! ;)
BTW, I did apply to go to Oz when I was sixteen (to work computers)but was told I was too young by 6 months! Ferp, I say, Ferp!

Pebbles? No, we got sand up here , Del, even up on the moors! Wear flatties, carry an umberella that'll double as a parasol. Just have enough money on you for ice-creams, sweeties and cups of fortifying drink oh, and the chips!
