A beautiful Jewel of York postcard dropped through our mail slot this weekend. :D The girls loved the beetle on it.

Out of interest, how long does something take to reach Australia?

I'm wondering if airmail is faster than royal mail letter post! :?

It took 10 days then! I posted it 25th April!

That must equate to 2 days flying / sorting time, 1 day delivery, and the remaining 7 days beeing squidged and prodded by the postal workers! :D

 Sorry Mad, I've been busy for the last couple of days and didn't see this! No, your postcard hasn't arrived :( which is very odd as the post around here is pretty good and things sent from the UK normally turn up fairly promptly. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it has just been stuck somewhere and will get here soon!

Well if only one card out of all the ones sent all over the world due to this thread fails to get to it's destination that's still pretty good

Years ago, on a holiday in Spain, I travelled to Gibralter and sent postcards home from Gib. I then finished my holiday and returned home, only to find that the postcards had not arrived.

They eventually turned up 5 days after I returned home!

Okay, I lost my list of who I already sent a card to. Who got one of mine?
