Case in point,i think i took this on the sports-setting...

Great pics Mycroft but I know what you mean about settings. It's something I'm always forgetting about, especially when I'm walking and have five or six miles worth of photos that I've mucked up. Do you shoot in RAW format which at least allows for more post adjustment than just photographing in straight Jpg? (I've been able to 'rescue' many underexposed shots because of this). I've also recently gotten into the habit of taking a 'test' photo and checking the histogram to check exposure/light levels before starting on the 'main' shoot.

I do always set the cam on saving both the JPEG-fine(or largest format available) and the NEF(RAW) versions.
With my free picasa-program,i find i sometimes prefer the JPEG and sometimes the RAW-files and with the memory capacity of today's memorycards i'll always just keep them both,it's not like i'll run out of space.
I don't do that much processing afterwards,i still have to get myself photoshop or a similar decent program.
Checking the histogram is also something i know i should start doing,but just haven't gotten around to yet.

One more of my own sweethart,she turned 10 last march.

She got her yearly shots yesterday and i had the vet look at two bumps,thankfully both turned out to be just fatdeposits...'bit' of a relief
