Cute, and if I still had my ears pierced, I might think about getting some.

However, I would call into question if they are official BBC merchandise. If not, somebody better be prepared for a law suit.

That would be so easy to get around if they hadn't advertised them as Dr Who. Nostalgic Police Call Box Earrings would have avoided that.

In fact, it's a shame the designer of the call boxes doesn't sue the Beeb.

I can remember going on a school trip to London when I was a kid and seeing those call boxes all over the place. We had very different ones in Cardiff at the time.

Funny you should say that...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_box#Doctor_Who

Relevant quote from that section of the article:

In 1996, the BBC applied for a trademark to use the blue police box design in merchandising associated with Doctor Who. In 1998, the Metropolitan Police filed an objection to the trademark claim, maintaining that they owned the rights to the police box image. In 2002 the Patent Office ruled in favour of the BBC, pointing out that there was no evidence that the Metropolitan Police—or any other police force—had ever registered the image as a trademark. In addition, the BBC had been selling merchandise based on the image for over three decades without complaint by the police.

I didn't like Dr Who when I was a kid, It scared me, even the music was too weird for me. We lived 15 floors up in a tower block, now come on, how easy would it be for a dalek to get me, eh ? No stairs see ?
By far the much safer option was being a Star Trek fan, well all those ailiens were out in deep space, not sunny Glasgow.! :)

I think they're filming now, so possibly autumn/winter, unless they're holding out for the 50th anniversary.

Series 7 is a long way off, but info has been trickling through over the past several months. Here’s a compilation of what we know about the series so far.

Note: This post will be continually updated as more info emerges over the coming months until broadcast.

LAST UPDATED: 29 February 2012

Airdate

Begins Autumn 2012 (Filming started 20th February 2012)
13 episodes + 2012 Christmas Special

Other notes: It is still not clear if all 14 episodes will air in 2012. There has been conflicting info. Originally BBC Controller Danny Cohen said not all episodes will be shown, but Steven Moffat later seemingly denied that this was the case. In January, Moffat promised just at least 14 episodes, but didn’t specify when they would air.

There ya go! Don't say I never do anything for you!

I WANT THOSE EARRINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the moment I am in Heaven nightly; David and I spent a quiet hour alone every night; I am clutching at every minute with him, as sadly we shall hear those "four knocks" and alas I know that Matt Smith will be beating the door down for the pleasure of my company. :( ...... Dr Who every night at 7:30pm :D :D :D
