My mouse has given up the ghost. Knew it was and kept putting off getting a new one, now I have to and I'm really skint. Can't stand using the touchpad though.

I recently got a super little USB mouse that's only 3 inches by 1.5 inches and has a retractable cable. It's tiny, but works a treat. And it only cost £6.

Tina, OUCH! Really sorry about the pain you're in and all you're having to go through. I totally get the aversion to the epidurals, but it's got to be worth it if it helps the pain.

I don't like them, but I can use them. I much prefer the trackpoint on mine, though. For some strange reason, though, no one else who's handling my laptop does. Well, tough luck, I've got the trackpad disabled so it won't get in the way.

I've got the tiny mouse for use with this netbook.

I found a pretty reasonable normal mouse (NOT wifi, though) from Play.com very cheap (a fiver with free deliv) for my work PC.
