er, am I the only one who doesn't understand any of this thread?
Okay. In brief:
There's a game series called Portal
that is set in what is basically a scientific research facility from hell called Aperture Science. Their attitude to science is summed up in the words of their founder, Cave Johnson: "We throw science at the wall and see what sticks." The whole point of the game is to use a gun that projects portals onto walls in order to solve puzzles and basically get out of deathtraps, many of which are so-called experiments. Imagine the game as you playing a human labrat going through a very deadly maze, and you might understand the song a bit better. Of course, you'd understand it a lot better if you knew more about the game, but hey.
Four minutes? That's ages! What if I get bored? I need a television, a couple of books. Anyone for chess? Bring me knitting.
