I am hoping to change my hair colour....

I went to the supermarket last night and went to pick up the usual light blonde... but my eyes strayed to the browns. Then I saw how MANY different shades of brown there are...

I have been blonde most of my life. Liked being a redhead for a short time... but then you can do that at 24. And a good red tends to fade. There was that time the hairdresser completely mucked up and I ended up as a brunette with purple tips... loved it... but when I went completely brunette I hated it.

Lets not talk about the bright orange catastrophe EVER.

So I kept looking and looking and thinking... hmmmm I need to replace the red tone in my hair before I go brown right?.. or I might end up green????

So I chickened out :( or rather didn't because I couldnt decide the exact colour.

Ended up lurking around the aisles for an hour acting like a weirdo looking sideways at brown haired women and sidling up to them to get a closer look at the shade and smiling inanely if they caught me.

Its not like I can hide behind some office partition if I get it wrong. A few big jobs coming up leading into Valentines Day. Holding a microphone and virtually saying "Look at me! Look at me!" in crowded public places.

There's a product you're supposed to put on blonde hair before trying a brown color.... I think? It's too long ago for me to remember. Once upon a time I was platinum blonde. And, no, it wasn't a good look. It was a fix for the oops-you've-gone-orange problem. Never tried red, although I've always wanted to. I've heard it fades quickly too and that seems like a lot of work for short term benefit. If you go for the brown, please show us pictures!

I loved being a redhead, but yes, it was too expensive to do every few weeks. Brown did not work at all, I was just as blond afterwards. Maybe I should've put that stuff on first, whatever it is :?

One day I'm totally going to cut my hair boy-short. 8-)

Tomorrow I'm doing too much. Not sure how I'm supposed to fit it all in.

I'm over due to cut 5-6 inches off the length of my hair
but I find hairdressers get freakishly weird with my hair Image
and start stroking it telling me how lovely it looks long and it just creeps me out
