Actually, thinking about it, I did get the highest combined scores on the night so I did win........sort of. It works by the judge selecting the 'best' photo in each class which scored 20 (beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) and of the three winners, then selecting the overall best on the night. There were three others scoring 20 in my group and I lost out to a real corker so I have no complaints. :D

I've just received my scores for the Annual Projected Digital Image competition and am well chuffed! Unfortunately, I can't post the images now as they are on my computer at home but my recent image of the keyboard player scored 15 (not good) in the monochrome class and my picture of a new born lamb and mother scored 18 in the Natural History Category - both of which have been posted fairly recently. My best result was for the rainy day in Minehead (posted earlier this year) which scored 20 and was the winner of the Landscape category; it also received runner up for photo of the year!

Thanks guys. I realized this morning that I could go back and find where I posted it before and then bring it forward as a 'quote'. So here is my winning entry for Projected Digital Landscape of the Year and runner-up for Projected Digital Image of the Year. :D

This only got 17 in a previous competition, together with the judge's comment that the rain was 'photo-shopped' in. It wasn't and I got soaked taking it while trying to keep my camera dry. I think this shows just how much different judges view the entries.

I'd say it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to photoshop rain like that - that judge has obviously never tried masking something like that with getting the light conditions, opacity and everything right (not to mention the clouds). What an idiot!

       on getting runner up and roll on your professional career Penners :happy-jumpgreen:
