Just got back from the final print merit comp and while I didn't win this week I did score extremely well:
"An Apple a Day" for the water vole scored 19/20.
"Play it again Sam" for the busker scored 19/20.
"The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Richmond Park Caught in the Act!" for the deer scored 20/20, with the comment of it being a stunning piece of natural history photography from the judge and also a reprimand from the club chairman for the length of the title. (He was joking, btw.)
I was near the bottom of the league table but with these scores I should end respectably mid-table. No trophies for me this year but on the bright side I wont have any polishing to do next year.
(Although there are still the annual comps for pics of the year to come.)
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
