It's a sort of patty of minced fish and sometimes mashed potato, coated in breadcrumbs and fried. :D

These fish cakes were made of minced salmon and egg (to hold them together), didn't add the bread crumbs. (But lot of herbs). Very nice.

Btw, I am a vegetarian who eat fish (and egg) - so that'll be a pesco-ovo-vegetarian :D

Had Saurkraut, bratwurst with mashed potatoe and sweet mustard . . . yummy.
