Its a real butt kicker and pretty scary. I have never made it to the top of Half Dome but I did manage the Vernal and Nevada falls which is part of the way up. The peak was closed due to snow.

My Brother and his wife did the peak one time and said it is slipery with a sheer slope wih a few rough steps and a chain to hold on to. If you slip then you will probably slide right over the edge. It is definately a once in a lifetime experience.

There are plenty of other great Hikes around there as well

Well with the help of Tony - and on the off change that i can follow the instructions this should work - i am up front, was trying to duck for cover and get out of the shot!
