Tucson Bound!

Hi all!

Just thought I'd start this thread as I'm off to Tucson, Arizona again on Monday. Some of you already know that I met swreader, Sharlene online and through Terry's books. Well we got married last year and I try to get over to Tucson as often as I can.

I actually leave here about half an hour after midnight on Sunday (early Monday morning) to get the bus to Heathrow.

The flight is at 10.35 UK time and arrive in Tucson (flying via Los Angeles) at 4.40 pm Tucson time, a total of around 6000 miles.

I'm not back in Cardiff until 31st December, so I get to spend Halloween, Thanksgiving, my birthday, Sharlene's birthday, Christmas and the US election over there. Not sure about the last one. :lol:

I'll try and keep you all updated and post lots of pictures and of course, I'll still be looking in here all the time. :wink:

I am sure you will but have a wonderful time Tony. Thank you so much for all that you have done on this forum. I don't think I would have coped on my own!

:lol: I'll still be visiting the forum on a daily basis and as I'm half way across the world I'll be able to keep an eye on it when the rest of you in the UK are tucked up in bed. :wink:

Tucson is in the desert and it's hot there pretty much all year. If I tell you that I was in the outdoor swimming pool last Christmas Eve you'll get the idea. :wink:

Thank you all for your good wishes! :D

I'm getting pretty excited now as I've just checked in online. :D

I'm meeting a friend on mine this afternoon who has just got back from a holiday in Greece. So I'll help her get her luggage back to her flat. She phned me just now to say that she's back in the country and will be getting the Cardiff coach soon. But she nearly never made it last night as the bus that was driving them to the Athens airport hit a motorcyclist and killed him. :shock:

The police were called and she really thought that she was going to miss her flight. Luckily someone thought to call a bunch of taxis to ferry them the rest of the way.
